Mi CIL History
Mi CIL("My
C.I.L.")
is unlike other databases
available. It is a powerful yet easy to use data management tool, conceived
from the daily operations of a
consumer-controlled center for independent living.
Tanabe Systems and
Mark Obatake, former Executive Director of
The Hawaii Centers for Independent Living, began developing the software
in 1999, to address the requirements for qualitative management of program
services and the growing trend for outcomes
accountability.
Mi CILcollects all essential data
needed to support distinctive advocacy efforts, create building
blocks for strategic plans, provide real-time reporting for quality
improvement, and to identify systemic issues, through a very
user-friendly interface.
Mi CIL
is a
robust system with a comprehensive array of
features to specifically meet an Independent
Living Center’s requirements. It is compatible with JAWS, a
third party software that provides voice output for screen reading.
Mi CIL
has the capacity to work
within satellite sites and be consolidated
into an entire organizational (or regional)
database. You are assured data stability by using a powerful tool
such as MS Access.
